Refund & Revision Policy

This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. It explains what's included in every project, what happens if something isn't right, and when a refund applies.

What's included

How a revision round works

A revision round means grouped, submitted feedback on the current version of your mix. You can leave as many individual notes as you want within a single round — timestamped comments, voice notes, written feedback — and it still counts as one round.

Draft notes you haven't formally submitted do not consume a round. Take your time, listen on different systems, and submit when you're ready.

What revisions cover

Adjustments to the existing mix, including:

• Levels and balance between elements
• EQ and tonal shaping
• Effects — reverb, delay, saturation
• Vocal tuning and timing
• Stereo width and placement
• Low-end control and loudness

What revisions don't cover

• New recordings or re-recorded parts
• Arrangement changes — adding, removing, or reordering sections
• A materially different creative direction from the brief you originally submitted
• Work on a different song

Requests outside this scope aren't refused — they're quoted separately, so you know the cost before anything proceeds.

Additional rounds

If you need more rounds than your package includes, they're available for purchase at the rate shown at checkout. Pricing is always displayed before you commit.

Three specific commitments on every project.

Engineer Match Guarantee

If your assigned engineer is clearly the wrong creative fit after your first revision round, we'll reassign your project to another qualified engineer at no additional charge. One complimentary reassignment per project.

Release Ready Promise

Your final master will meet technical release standards:

• Appropriate loudness for streaming platforms
• No clipping
• No phase or mono-compatibility problems
• Translation across phone speakers, headphones, and car systems

If it doesn't, we'll correct it — and that corrective work doesn't count against your revision rounds.

Deadline Promise

We give you a delivery date at the start of your project. If we miss it for reasons within our control, your next revision round is free and we'll upgrade your project to expedited handling at no charge.

What the guarantees don't cover

• Dissatisfaction based on creative preference rather than technical standards
• Projects where submitted files don't meet our published technical requirements, until corrected
• Creative direction that changes materially from the brief originally submitted
• Delays caused by your response times, including the 14-day auto-approval window
• Any outcome relating to streams, placement, coverage, or commercial performance

We don't guarantee outcomes

Mixing and mastering improve the technical and sonic quality of a recording. They don't guarantee commercial success. We make no representation regarding streams, playlist placement, editorial coverage, chart performance, revenue, or audience growth, and no statement by us should be interpreted as promising one.

All sales are final

Our deliverables are digital audio files that can't be returned once accessed, and work begins as soon as your files pass review. All purchases are final and we don't offer refunds. This is standard for digital production services, and it's stated here and at checkout before you purchase.

This doesn't leave you without recourse — the guarantees above exist precisely so that a problem gets fixed rather than refunded. If something isn't right, we work on it until it meets the standard.

Your rights under Alberta law

Under Alberta's Consumer Protection Act, you may cancel an internet purchase within 7 days if:

• We fail to clearly disclose the total price owed at checkout, or
• We fail to deliver within 30 days of the delivery date stated at the time of purchase

These rights exist by law and apply automatically, regardless of anything else in this policy.

You have 14 days from delivery of a version to either request revisions or approve the project. We'll remind you before that window closes.

If you don't respond within 14 days, the project is automatically marked approved, final files are released, and remaining revision rounds expire. If you need more time, just tell us and we'll extend it.
